Ndiyo Biosciences Hands Over Site to NEC for PCR Diagnostic Kit Facility Construction
Ndiyo Biosciences Limited has officially handed over the construction site to NEC, marking the beginning of the development of Uganda’s first state-of-the-art PCR diagnostic kit production facility. This milestone signifies a major step in advancing local biotechnology manufacturing, reducing reliance on imported diagnostic solutions, and enhancing disease detection capabilities in the region.
The project is scheduled for completion in 30 weeks and is expected to generate over 100,000 jobs for the local community.
Teams on the Ground
The project brings together key stakeholders, including:
- Ndiyo Biosciences Limited (Employer) – Overseeing the project execution.
- NEC (Contractor) – Responsible for constructing the production facility.
- STI-OP (Sponsor) – Providing financial and strategic support.
- Precision and Formation SMC (Consultant) – Offering technical guidance.
- District Local Government – Ensuring regulatory compliance and local engagement.
